Judith Galiza was born in Ourense in 1976, into a family of artists. Her father is the Galician watercolourist Xavier Galiza, who was also her mentor, and her own style ended up being considerably more insolent than his.
She studied painting at the Faculty of Fine Arts in Pontevedra.
