Riding on the Fish – MXJ

MXJ's artwork is playful and tactile, built up from texture paste, colour and hand-painted figures. The texture paste gives the surface a palpable, almost sculptural dimension, so the colours and shapes literally come to life.

The hand-painted figures give the work a personal and unique character; each figure has its own expression and story, which lends the whole a lively and interactive feel.

This combination of materials and techniques creates a dynamic artwork that invites both visual and physical exploration. The work balances abstract texture with figurative elements, resulting in MXJ's characteristic and recognisable style.
